One standout dish is the Snow Chicken, praised by Adam Chung for its crisp coating and juicy meat, while the boneless hot and spicy option, recommended by Ricky Pann, packs a flavorful punch with its crunchy texture and zesty sauce. Sides like the kimchi pancake may need some refining, but the overall sentiment is positive regarding the variety and taste of the menu.

Reviews for Mom’s Chicken
Review highlights
Based on 250 reviewsMom’s Chicken in Wolli Creek is widely appreciated for its authentic Korean fried chicken and barbecue offerings, delivering consistently flavorful dishes at reasonable prices. Customers praise the generous portion sizes and well-prepared, juicy chicken with crispy coatings, highlighting the restaurant’s value for money. The side dishes receive positive notes, though some items like the kimchi pancake and certain cuts of meat have drawn mild criticism for greasiness or texture. While the barbecue uses gas rather than charcoal, the service is commonly described as friendly, and the dining environment is clean and unpretentious. Overall, Mom’s Chicken is regarded as a solid local Korean dining option with a variety of dishes that satisfy a range of tastes.
Mixture of cooked Korean fried chicken dishes and Korean bbq. Both did not disappoint although their kimchi pancake was very greasy.
Local Korean bbq and fried chicken place. The sides were quite good. The bbq is gas, not charcoal. Service is friendly. Meat, the ox tongue is quite chewy. Would be better if wagyu cut is used if served as frozen slices. The wagyu rib was ok.
Mom’s Chicken in Wolli Creek is one of my favorite restaurants, and every visit has been an amazing experience. The food consistently impresses with its top-notch quality, far exceeding expectations given the reasonable prices. The value for money here is exceptional. Dining in at Mom’s Chicken is a delight. The dishes are always delicious, with rich, authentic flavors that never disappoint. The portions are generous, and the presentation is excellent. However, I have noticed that the takeaway portions, especially the chicken dishes, tend to be smaller than when dining in. Additionally, the side dishes included in takeaway orders are much smaller, despite an extra charge of one dollar per dish. One of the standout aspects of Mom’s Chicken is the exceptional service, particularly from one of the Asian staff members who is always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Her warm demeanor and constant smile make you feel like part of the family, enhancing the overall dining experience. Despite the minor issues with takeaway portions, I continue to return regularly due to the consistently high quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere. Mom’s Chicken remains a top choice for dining in Wolli Creek, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic meal.
Overall: 5/7 A very solid Korean option in wolli, worth a try! Lots of variety and so far every dish has been decent. Snow chicken: 6/7 Large serving is very large indeed. Chicken is super well cooked - coating is crispy and the meat is very juicy. Snow cheese is also good - a good combination of sweet and salty. Jap chae: 4/7 Glass noodles are just ok - perhaps a bit too soft. But otherwise solid, good flavours and variety of other ingredients. Tteokbokki: 5/7 Was a fan. Rice cake is good and chewy, without sticking to teeth. Sauce was nice and spicy. Stir fry pork: 4/7 Average, nothing ground breaking. Was good.
I’m obsessed with fried chicken and this place delivers on delicious. Diving in at the deep end I ask for a recommendation and got the boneless hot and spicy... whoh nelli !! chicken pieces in a crunchy Korean batter cooked to perfection. Man the red sauce had a kick. A generous portion Served with 4 sides and water for $20 represents good value. The place is clean , decor is cheap and cheerful with ok service 4 stars and I’d go back.
One of the best pork with skin BBQ in the area, never find any thick pork belly with skin except Mom’s Chicken. Ham sausage soup is okay, they also have a various chicken to try too. Service is good even the staff is still new, but he look after the customer really well.
